Redesigned toy vehicle for Caritas - Dedicated artistic endeavor for the children of Offenbach
In the heart of Offenbach, a beloved institution for children has received a fresh new look, thanks to the generous support of various local partners. The Caritas Playmobile, a mobile playground that has been a hub for fun and activities for seven years, has undergone a technical update and visual renovation.
The Wilhelm Emmanuel von Ketteler Foundation provided financial support of 2,500 euros for the technical update of the Caritas Playmobile. This essential funding allowed for the necessary improvements to ensure the Playmobile could continue to serve the community for years to come.
In addition to the financial support, Manuela Olten, an Offenbach artist, generously donated two of her works to redesign the Playmobile. Her illustrations bring a touch of creativity and local flavour to the revamped Playmobile, making it even more appealing to the children who visit.
The redesigned Caritas Playmobile, featuring illustrations by Manuela Olten, was celebrated on November 28th on Mathildenplatz. The event was attended by Offenbach's Mayor Sabine Groß and Manuela Olten herself. The occasion marked a significant milestone in the Playmobile's history, as it continues to provide play, fun, and movement to districts of Offenbach that lack sufficient playgrounds.
The Caritas Playmobile has a regular route that includes stops at Goetheplatz, Waldhof, Schiller, and Mathildenplatz. Children can craft, play, and run around while being supervised by honorary staff. The continuation of this offer is secured through the support of partners such as the GBO, Sparkasse Offenbach, and the Hedwig Bachmaier Foundation.
As the Caritas Playmobile embarks on its next chapter, it does so with a renewed sense of purpose and a vibrant new look. It remains an important hub for children in Offenbach, bringing joy and a sense of community to those who need it most.
